QuickBooks Online Setup & Training
We configure QuickBooks Online for your business and train you to use it properly from day one.
What This Is
QuickBooks Online is powerful when set up correctly and frustrating when it isn’t. This service handles the initial configuration so your file is built around how your business actually operates instead of the generic defaults that come out of the box.
We set up your chart of accounts, connect your bank and credit card feeds, configure sales tax if you need it, customize invoice templates, and bring in opening balances so your books start from an accurate position. Then we walk you through how to use it in your day-to-day work.
The Setup
The Setup
Subscription selection based on what your business needs, chart of accounts tailored to your industry, bank and credit card connections, opening balances entered, products and services list configured, customer and vendor records imported, and tax settings aligned with your filing requirements.
The Training
The Training
Hands-on sessions covering how to record income, enter expenses, send invoices, accept payments, reconcile accounts, and pull the reports you care about. We work in your file with your real data so you learn the version of QuickBooks you’ll actually be using.
Why This Matters
Most QuickBooks files we see were set up by someone clicking through the wizard with their best guess. The chart of accounts is half custom and half default. Opening balances were never entered. Bank feeds are connected but transactions sit uncategorized for months. Reports come out but the numbers don’t quite make sense.
Once that foundation is wrong, every transaction recorded on top of it inherits the problem. Cleanup work later costs more than setting things up correctly the first time. And in the meantime, the reports you’re relying on to make decisions are based on data that’s organized poorly or missing entirely.
A Bad Foundation
A Bad Foundation
A chart of accounts that doesn’t match your business means every category decision becomes guesswork. Expenses land in the wrong buckets. Income gets lumped together when it should be separated. By the time someone notices, you have a year of data that needs to be reworked.
Training Gaps
Training Gaps
QuickBooks has many ways to record the same transaction, and most of them are wrong for any given situation. Without proper training, owners often invoice when they should be using sales receipts, or record bank deposits in ways that double-count income. The mistakes compound over time.
What Changes
You start with a QuickBooks file that reflects your business accurately. The chart of accounts makes sense. Bank feeds are working. Opening balances tie to your prior records. When you run a profit and loss report, the numbers are organized in a way that tells you something useful about how your business is performing.
You also understand how to use the system. Recording a sale, entering a vendor bill, reconciling a bank account, and pulling a report are all things you can do confidently. And if questions come up later, you know who to call instead of searching through forum posts for half-answers.
Clean From Day One
Clean From Day One
Your books are set up to give you accurate reports from the first month forward. No cleanup project waiting for you a year from now. No surprises at tax time when your accountant asks why certain categories don’t match what’s on your statements.
Confidence Using It
Confidence Using It
You leave training knowing how to handle the transactions you actually run into. You can invoice a customer, pay a bill, reconcile a credit card, and produce a report without second-guessing yourself. The software becomes a tool you use instead of a problem you avoid.
